The Coupons ( gift vouchers) feature allows you to create, customise, and manage all your coupons in one central overview. It’s designed to help you efficiently handle and monitor promotional codes, goodwill gestures, and monetary gift vouchers.
Important info: Coupons are only applicable to online booking widget bookings. They cannot be applied to integrated bookings via Google or Meta (Facebook/Instagram).
How to create coupons
1. Access the Coupons setting.
2. Enter a custom character coupon or select to auto-generate.
3. Define the monetary value of the coupon.
(If using as a promotion code, set the monetary value as 1.00)
4. Set the validity period
5. Click 'save' to create and activate the coupon.
In the setting, you can also:
Edit an existing coupon to adjust the value or validity
Disable a coupon to stop further use
Enable + Edit an existing code, which may be for seasonal use.
Delete a coupon if it’s no longer needed. Once deleted, you will no longer be able to review the data usage of the coupon.
There is no limit on the number of coupons. Create and manage multiple coupons to help run different promotions at the same time.
How do customers apply a coupon to a booking?
1. Online widget bookings:
Enter the coupon code in the ‘Gift Voucher’ box located on the 'details' step
The coupon will be recorded against the booking for staff to view and acknowledge before arrival.
2. Phone bookings:
Customers can provide the coupon code to your team
Staff can manually add the coupon to the booking if it is active

Does the coupon automatically deduct the monetary value from the bill or any deposit/prepayment on the booking?
No, coupons act as a record only within the simpleERB booking system. Any monetary discount or deduction for the coupon must be applied manually on the day of the booking by staff through your POS system.
What can coupons be used for?
Coupons are flexible and could be used for:
Monetary gift vouchers purchased by customers
Promotional or marketing campaigns
Goodwill gestures or compensation
Track booking referrals from nearby guesthouses, hotels, etc..
How to track and monitor when coupons are used?
The Coupons feature allows you to monitor and review coupon usage.
The usage counter shows how many times each coupon has been used.
The report export option will automatically download a report with details of all bookings where the coupon was applied for tracking.
