At this time the normal simpleERB widget is not possible to be run on a Wix website due to the inability to load custom scripts outside of an iframe. It is possible to get online bookings via two other methods though.

The best way to add your simpleERB widget to a Wix website is to add a link in the navigation that opens a new window/tab with your booking portal.

You can do this by following these steps:

In the Wix dashboard, click on the 'Menus & Pages' icon to open the Pages popup. In the popup click on the 'add link' icon at the bottom. (This is highlighted in the below image)

Now enter the url of your simpleERB booking portal - you can find this in your widget settings at the top of the page -  'Your widget url'. Pop the address into the box and click 'Done'

This creates a new link in your website navigation that you can name appropriately e.g. 'Book Online' and move to the desired location in the navigation bar. When your customer clicks the link it will open a new tab at the simpleERB booking portal for your restaurant.

Alternative method: Adding an embedded widget

It is also possible to embed the widget in an iframe within the body of a page on your site. We do not think this method works the best but it is an option.

To do this you would navigate in dashboard to the page you want to add the widget and then use the 'Add Widget' option from the menu (Plus Icon)

In the popup menu choose 'More' and then 'Embeds - HTML iframe'

Change the option to 'Website Address' and enter the url of your simpleERB booking portal - you can find this in your widget settings at the top of the page -  'Your widget url'. Pop the address into the box and click 'Done'

You are now free to resize the widget on your page. Note that for the widget to function correctly you will need to allow a minimum of 750px in height which will push other content down the page.

You can view our help articles on how to add your widget to other types of website here.
