How to use Block of dates when making edits

If you wish to have a different table turn time in the wee hours of the morning, the best way to do this in simpleERB is to set these over a “block of dates”

For example you wish to have a default table turn time of 90 minutes, however between midnight and 3 am you need to have a longer turn time of 120. You can do this by setting your advanced table turn time to this between the date you wish to start this edit and the date it should end, if this is indefinite then you will need to set this to the furthest date in the future you can reach. After this date, you will need to edit these rules to another future date to ensure the booking requirements remain in place.

You can use this as a rule of thumb for payment and credit card capture edits also.

As you can see from the screenshot above, between 12:00 and 22:00, the table turn time is 90 minutes as this is the default table turn time. Between 22:00 and 23:45 the table turn time is 120 minutes and between 00:00 and 03:00 the turn time is 180 minutes.

This can also save you time, in place of doing edits for each day in simpleERB you can do this to cover each day for a given length of time.
