Some venues such as pubs may not wish to take table bookings for drink service, however collection of track and trace details is set to become mandatory in certain areas by government and local authorities.
You can use simpleERB to easily record customer's data using a link or QR code without having the booking system or setting up for table bookings.
You will have to start a free trial for your pub or restaurant. Once you have activated your account, you can then login where you will be prompted to complete the 7 simple steps, if you are not using simpleERB for table service, you can skip these by clicking 'settings' at the top right hand corner of the page.
This will take you to the settings page where you can setup contact tracing.
You will find the contact tracing setup under the customer's section in your settings. This will open the following page:
Here, you can choose the contact details you wish to collect from each party, the email address, phone number, address, and date of birth. We recommend collecting the minimum amount of data required by your local laws.
You can also select how long you wish the data to be held for (between 1 month and 24 months). We recommend setting this to the minimum period required by your local laws.
Once you have enabled and saved the settings, you can start collecting customer contact information, by providing them with the link shown in your setup page or you can print the QR code to place this in your pub/restaurant.
You can also toggle the option to have a password for customers to access the link, however, We recommend not setting a password to make it easier for your customers to add their details.
You can see a list of today's contacts in your Contact Tracing Dashboard. simpleERB stores your customers' contact details in a secure GDPR compliant way.
All data is encrypted at all stages of collection. Access to data is strictly limited to situations where requested by a relevant public authority for the purposes of contact tracing.
We recommend you only collect that information as required by your local authority.
